Gratitude Walk (or Run!)
If you wish you had more energy...
If the state of the world has you in a funk...
If the pandemic turned your life plans upside down…
If you simply want to cultivate more gratitude in your life...
this challenge is for you.
For 30 days, you'll practice gratitude while walking (or running!), and you'll incorporate journaling. These three powerful tools can transform your health, your career, your relationships, and your life.
Did you know...
Gratitude can change your outlook on life while transforming your body from the inside, out.
Gratitude is a mindset, but the benefits go beyond your outlook on life. Being happier and more positive about the ups and downs you experience throughout the day is a significant benefit itself.
Gratitude makes you more resilient, and is a powerful mindset shift that can affect all areas of your life, but gratitude is more than rosy thinking. Gratitude releases the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, sometimes called the feel good hormones. And, gratitude releases oxytocin, which is the bonding hormone important in relationships.
It might seem crazy, but it's true: the act of becoming more grateful has a profound influence on your life. Gratitude can improve your overall happiness and satisfaction with life, improve health, reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety and burnout, reduce stress hormones, reduce inflammation and improve cardiovascular health.
What if you combined gratitude with walking and journaling?
Even if exercise hasn't been a priority for you lately, you're probably aware that exercise provides many of the same mental and emotional benefits as gratitude, which made me wonder... what if you combined gratitude with walking and journaling. (Because.... guess what? Journaling also delivers mental health benefits, along with providing a way to set goals, work out problems, identify patterns with thoughts and behaviors... and it can help you make sense of all the thoughts that pop up throughout your day.)
Gratitude + movement + journaling = a powerful combination.
I’m Kim Peek, author of Holistic Endurance Training, and I’m on a mission to help you live an empowered and fulfilled life. I want you to have the courage, passion, and energy to chase your dreams and make an impact in this world.
Join me this November for the Gratitude Walk (or Run!). Whether you're a walker, a runner, or a burnt out mom who used to move more, and wishes she had energy at the end of the day to do just one thing for herself so she can pursue her passions... this challenge will help you tap into your strength and prepare you to conquer your challenges.
What do you get when you join? Here's how this works:
Each morning in November, you'll get an email that gives you that day's action plan. You'll be encouraged to walk (literally!) in gratitude.
- As you walk (or run, row, cycle, hike, dance...), you'll focus on the things in your life that you're grateful for. I'll give you a daily prompt to get you started.
- You'll have an opportunity to share your thoughts with me and/or in the Facebook group for added accountability.
- You'll receive a journal that you can download and print to provide guidance and prompts to help you get started with journaling.
- Along the way, I'll surprise you with special challenges (the good kind of surprises only) and additional video training.
